Juicer Recipes for Energy

Juicing Recipes for Energy

juicer recipes for energyNeed a little extra zip, and you want to do it naturally, healthily and without the aid of stimulants. If so you’re in the right place. Here are some great juicer recipes for energy that you can make at home with your juice extractor. Green juices and citrus fruit juices are especially good for providing energy because of their detoxification abilities and their natural electrolytes respectively. Enjoy!

Energy Juice Recipe #1 – Get-up-and-go Greens
1 apples
3 celery stalks
handful of spinach
handful of kale
1″ slice of ginger

This get-up-and-go juice is a fantastic energy enhancer. It’s packed with blood-purifying greens, minerals and vitamins. Spinach and kale are abundant with beta-carotene and vitamin C. It helps with liver cleansing and supports blood flow. Celery is an extremely alkaline vegetable and helps with digestion. It gives you a good amount of magnesium, calcium and natural sodium, which together helps transmit signals from our brains to our muscles so that they function properly, clearly a benefit for energy levels. Ginger is excellent at helping to reduce inflammation in the body, especially in the joints, therefore helping to support maneuverability.

Juicing Recipes for Energy #2 – Citrus Electrolyte Blast
2 oranges
1/2 a large pink grapefruit
1 tangerine
1/2 of a lemon

Oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, limes and lemons–try to have these fruits always on hand because they are excellent natural sources of electrolytes. Oranges are an especially great choice. That’s why you might have seen athletes knocking back some juicy slices or downing an orange juice. Citrus juice really does make for great juicer recipes for energy. Don’t juice the peels they make for a very unpleasant taste and contain oils that can upset digestion. The white pith, however, is very healthy and loaded with antioxidants, more so than the flesh in fact!

Juice Recipes for Energy #3 – Veggie Vroom
4 Carrots
1 apple
3 Stalks of celery
1 Handful of spinach
1/4 cup of fresh parsley

Parsley is quite powerful and must always be combined with other juices. Use only tiny amounts at any given time. Parsley is rich in vitamin C and is known as a general stimulant for the body. Celery juice is a great neural tonic and overall body builder. It can help with muscle exhaustion. This juice is good for healthy hair and skin too.

Juice Diet Recipes for Weight Loss | Juice Diet Plan

Drinking fresh made juices can be a great addition to any diet program even though juicing is not a weight loss program in itself. Even though some people undertake juice fasts to lose weight, I think this can be a very dramatic way of losing weight and can fall into the category of ‘yo yo diets’. In the end those who keep a healthy weight stay moderate and don’t use extreme methods. Juice fasting can be a great way to detox but this is only recommended if you already have a somewhat healthy diet. Otherwise the detox might be too intense and release more toxins than you can handle.

Fruit Juice or Vegetable Juice
A key part of any healthy eating program should be to balance blood sugar levels and keep them even. Erratic blood sugar levels can lead to carbohydrate/sugar cravings and irritability that can make your weight loss aims more difficult. For this reason, I recommend sticking with vegetable juices mostly. Fruit juices contain a lot more sugar than vegetable juices. A juice diet recipe that includes some hearty carrot juice can make a great snack that helps keep blood sugar even and therefore aid a juice diet plan.

The Nutrient Factor
All fresh made juices are excellent source of nutrition that can help us to feel more energetic and fight of some of the ‘blues’ of dieting. With many diet programs there is the problem of not getting enough nutrition in your diet as a result of eating less food/calories. Juicing can provide extra nutrition in abundance.

Fat Burning Herbs and Spices
There are group of foods that can help us to burn a few extra calories each day because of their effect upon are metabolism and other factors. These foods can be used in our juice diet recipes to help our weight loss efforts. Of course, I am not talking about salmon and whole grains for your juice diet recipes but herbs and spices that can be added to your fresh juices.

Cinnamon is great because of its scientifically proven ability to regulate blood sugar levels. Even blood sugar = less cravings :-)

Cayenne Pepper can add sip to the taste and the fat burning effectiveness of your juice diet recipes. Hot spices have been shown to help raise the metabolism for up to 3 hours after consuming them

Ginger, just like cayenne pepper, raises the metabolism so more calories can be burned each day. Ginger is also great for joint pain and inflammation.
