Hi, am wondering if any one knows of a good onion recipe. Like one with stuff in it to make it taste like onion soup. I am trying the juicing diet for 60 days and thought that sounded good ... let me know.

Hi Lara,

The best juices for liver cleanse are: spinach, parsley, zucchini, kale, dandelion leaves and cucumbers as well as the beets and apple.
But 3 apples with a beet with the beet greens is a lot of sugar. I'd go with less apple (1 apple) and the rest spinach, kale, zucchini or cucumbers.

Hi Maria,

I don't know the answer to that one. As far as I know, the best way to clear fat from around organs is using regular exercise, adding a green tea supplement to an exercise plan can also speed up fat loss.

Hi Eric,

There is no definitive answer to this, but I would recommend at least 3 times a week, and once a day preferably. My preferred time for drinking juice is on an empty stomach in the morning about 20 minutes before breaky. This is because there is no other food to compete with the juice in the stomach for digestion, so you absorb the most amount of antioxidants and nutrients into your body for healing, detox and cell repair.

Hi Lisa,

Indeed, there can be some pretty awful combinations! I generally don't like to mix fruits with vegetables because the outcome usually unpleasant on the taste buds. The one exception is apple which seems to work well with everything and is main fruit for sweetening up green veggies. I also find that mixing any kind of citrus fruit with vegetables results in something not so tasty! In fact I mostly prefer to keep citrus juices pure because they tend to clash a lot with other fruits and veggies, at least for my palate, lemon would be the main exception.

Hi Lisa,

I am not sure how juicing can help those particular health conditions directly. However, since IBS can affect the amount of nutrients we digest from food, then a juice will help boost your nutrient intake because it is super easy to digest. Also juice contains loads of antioxidants which can at least help with all sorts of inflammatory issues.

Hi Pau,

If you want the benefit of the pulp and its rich fiber content then you definitely want to go with a vitamix-blender. A masticating or centrifugal juicer removes the pulp, the difference is that a masticating juicer extracts more nutrients/juice from the pulp than a centrifugal machine, but it still discards the pulp all the same.
